Milk & Miracles is a one-of-a-kind assemblage created from vintage porcelain, found objects and poetic imagination.
Balancing somewhere between a curiosity cabinet, a devotional object and contemporary assemblage art, this piece invites the viewer to pause and discover their own story.
A porcelain Madonna, delicate roses, gentle hands holding a flickering candle and three unexpected cows come together in a composition where reverence quietly meets humour. Every element once belonged to another life. Carefully brought together, they now form an entirely new narrative.
Nothing is what it was. Everything becomes something new.
Like all WonderLust Objects, Milk & Miracles is not about explaining. It is about wondering.
Perhaps it speaks of faith.
Perhaps of comfort.
Perhaps of childhood memories.
Or perhaps it simply reminds us that miracles sometimes arrive disguised as ordinary things.
Handcrafted by Dutch artist Margreet Blaas, every WonderLust Object is a unique original. No editions. No replicas. Every piece is assembled by hand from carefully collected vintage treasures, giving forgotten objects a new story and a new life.

Artist's Note
Every WonderLust Object begins with a moment of curiosity.
I never start with a fixed plan or a sketch. Instead, I gather vintage porcelain, forgotten fragments and found objects, allowing each piece to reveal its own possibilities. Slowly, a character, a meeting or a quiet story begins to emerge.
I am fascinated by the beauty of things that have already lived a life. A teacup, a figurine or a broken plate once belonged to someone's everyday world. By bringing these fragments together in unexpected ways, they are given a new purpose and a new story.
For me, WonderLust Objects are not simply assemblages. They are small worlds that invite you to pause, smile and wonder. There is no single interpretation. Each artwork leaves space for your own imagination.
Every WonderLust Object is handcrafted in my studio in the Netherlands and is completely unique. No moulds. No editions. No replicas. Just one original artwork, created with care, patience and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the unexpected.
