WonderLust Objects
Small stories from a larger world
Some stories are painted.
Others find their way into the world through porcelain, forgotten treasures and a touch of wonderlust.
My Wonder Objects are one-of-a-kind assemblage artworks, created from vintage porcelain, found objects and carefully chosen fragments that have quietly called out to me over the years. Each piece is assembled by hand and slowly reveals itself as a character, a memory, a dream or a small visual story.
A curious cat peering from a teacup. A family of piglets nestled in a rose. A tiny world balanced between nostalgia, humour and wonder.
I have always been drawn to objects that seem to carry a story. A chipped plate, a forgotten figurine, a delicate porcelain flower. Individually they are beautiful. Together they can become something entirely new.
I think of this as wonderlust — a longing for wonder, for unexpected connections, and for the moment when ordinary things reveal an extraordinary story.
Like my paintings, these works explore the space between reality and imagination, where animals, memories and symbolism meet. No two pieces are ever the same. Each Wonder Object is unique and exists as a small inhabitant of a larger world.
